The Brazoria County Fair Youth
Advisory Council is a youth leadership development organization sponsored by
the Brazoria County Fair Association its members and the community.
The mission of the Youth
Advisory Council (YAC’s) is to make a positive difference in the fair itself
and the lives of the youth of Brazoria
County by developing
their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success
through their participation in Fair activities.
The Council is comprised of
youth representing all Brazoria
County high schools, 4-H,
FFA and the Community. All members are the leaders of the group and each member
serves for one year. All Youth Advisory Council members must be or will be successfully
enrolled in high school for the 2018-2019 school year, passing all classes and
be recommended by one adult advisor that is willing to provide a letter of
recommendation. All members must be members of (or families’ members of) and exhibit
in the Brazoria County Fair (i.e., youth horse show,
photography, student art, livestock, etc.). All members must have written/signed
approval of their parents/legal guardians and their parents/legal guardians
must be members of the Brazoria County Fair Association for 2019 or a Lifetime member.
Applications will be accepted through May 1, 2019. All applications must be turned into the Fair Office
